This is always for me the trickiest parts really knowing how to interpret building regulations and ensure aesthetic on a period heritage property such as this. The soil stack is always one of the ugliest external features I find on a building and it’s true you cannot angle and I am hesitant with the suggestion marked. My advice would be to reach out to building control, one of the reasons I prefer Private building control is they are focused on finding solutions for you rather than just signing things off. I think rather than try to understand building regs yourself, contact buidling regs and ask them exactly the options and see what they say. Their response will ensure the least risk for you as what they say goes when it comes to what they will sign off and then none of them can argue with it. Hope that helps?
