We are in the middle of a deep retrofit… Have fitted an Inventer decentralised mvhr from ecological building systems. Cost about 7k for a 5 bed house…. But we need to aim for less than 3 ACH for it to be effective for the heat recovery, although other benefits from air quality etc will obviously be felt before then. I think if you can’t get your house airtight, it’s not worth the money but you would need to take advice…. We won’t know how airtight we can go until the end of the phased retrofit. So it’s a bit chicken and egg…..
