Have you installed a sun tunnel in a flat roof?

I have a darkish but small living room that’s going to be ripped apart and the walls and ceiling all replastered. I was looking at installing extra lights but came across sun tunnels. The roof was redone last year so I know it’s all ok up there but are sun tunnels any good?. Pros/ cons? I realise there won’t be any benefit after dusk but are they worth the expense? Many thanks

We have one in our upstairs hallway (small velux window at top which we never open) and it makes a huge difference.

I haven’t installed one myself, but have watched lots of videos of them being installed and it definitely seems worth it, especially in bathrooms and kitchens where you would always want light.

We have two of them, in an internal en-suite and dressing room and we love them. Lots of light, even on a cloudy day and enough moonlight to light the way without needing a light on at 2am!

Sun tunnels are amazing. We have 2 of them. Bring loads of light to our windowless hallways.
