Design review time! It’s a big space but welcome any further ideas on flow, or where I’m missing tricks. Please ignore doors missing and hinge niggles – it’s a glitch. The sink has to go there as there will be an opening over the dining room, so I’ve not put a full run of seats on the island behind it cause there isn’t enough space for movement.

The hob where it is so I can be social whilst cooking.

I’ve tried to put the fridge oven and sink on one end and will keep dry goods on the other. Drinks fridge under island near fridge.

There is 1050 gap between the islands and other united and a 1500 gap on the long ends.

Looks great! Where is your extraction going for your hob?

Also, I have spice drawers by by hob for spices and oils…if you can fit them in, I’d highly recommend as it’s so useful having them nearby!

Food for thought… we had our dishwasher in the row directly opposite the island and it was a pain in the arse when it was open. I like to leave it open to stack as I cook but people were tripping on it or walking back into it. If it can go in a space where there’s enough room to walk around it when it’s open?

Also, we have two dishwashers and if you’ve got the space, they are a godsend! Your kitchen stays lovely as there’s never a dirty pot left on the side

Do you have to have the oven next to the fridge? I would worry about the heat from the oven next to a fridge unit! Also make sure any integrated bins aren’t next to a dishwasher unit as the heat from the dishwasher makes the bins smell

Just wondering about sink location. Imagine, you are cooking at the hob, you need to drain some pasta or put a pan in the sink. You have to walk round the island to get there. Really not sure that works. Much better if you could turn around and have the sink behind you. Have all your prep stuff on the same side.

I know but I can’t move the sink – I don’t really know where else makes sense to put the hob

here’s what happens if I move the sink behind the hob which I know makes sense. I would need to move the butlers units which I want to store and access small appliances like air fryer cake mixer etc in, but they could only go on a wall where the sink was, which has an opening over a dining table in another room. It would look really claustrophobic so a stuck
