They are all very similar tbf. I’d probably avoid the JA 405s personally.

I’d go with the Giv or Fox option personally. I have no idea why a growatt inverter would have a premium price over the fox or giv.

I’d avoid mix and matching equipment, while technically it’s fine, if you ever have a problem it will become a blame game between inverter company and battery company with you lost in the middle.

Personally I would opt for option 1 with the Giv set up.

Make sure installer is MCS and check the register before you pay deposit.

Which – trusted traders, is also a good place as all reviews are verified and due diligence has been done by which.

From my personal experience : I’ve installed Trina Vertex and Solis myself. Couldn’t do any better. Solis can work with ANY battery even DIY.

Pick the company with the best reputation and longevity. After sales is a must. Most people just go on the price and then find they have no support further down the road.

You need a battery with at least a 5kW output, any less and you will not cover some normal house use, I always suggest minimum battery capacity of 10kW as well.

Whoever you use make sure they as local as possible, leave the national firms alone, if something goes wrong you’ll never get them back
