What did everyone do with down lighters in there loft conversion?

I’ll have to cut into the insulation but I’m worried about heat from the lights causing condensation?

I used a 3 large LED panels in both of my kids bedrooms and the impact to insulation was minimal. The panels are dimmable so have them running on smart dimmable switches.

Probably could have got away with 2 panels per room but opted for 3 which is overkill

Sorry photo is from a few years ago and was not for the purpose of showing the panels.

I don’t fit them in lofts.

I spend a fortune on insulation so seems a bit daft cutting a dozen holes in it, they also compromise the vapour barriers.

This can lead to moisture ingress into the roof and then eventual rotting and other problems.

Do a warm roof and you won’t have that issue. Or

Put a false ceiling in that gives enough of a void for the lights to sit in.

Either of these will work well.
